Nursery Our nursery is a caring place to leave your newborns through crawlers while you attend worship or other learning activities on Sunday mornings. When you register your infant at the check-in table outside of the Little Lambs Hallway you will be given a pager. This enables us to discreetly contact you should your child need you for any reason during the worship gatherings. | ||
Toddlers In our Toddler room, the children spend time playing and learning. While this toy filled room is great for play, it's also a place where toddlers spend a little quiet time learning stories from the Bible. This relaxed morning is just perfect for new walkers through 35 months of age. Toddlers are also registered at the check-in table at the entrance to the Little Lambs Hallway where you will receive a pager. As above, should your child need you at any time during worship, we will page you. |

Preschool This more active age group is also learning through play. While there are many things to do, there is a lengthened learning time each Sunday, which prepares these 3, 4, and 5 year-olds for the Worship Center, which begins in Kindergarten. Your child will be registered upon arrival and you will be given a pager so that you can be contacted if your child needs you. |

Worship Centers Worship Center is a Christian Education curriculum that is based in the Montessori tradition. In a Worship Center, the children sit in a circle on the floor where they get ready to hear one of God's stories. A morning in the Worship Center follows the Protestant worship format - approach, word and response. American Sign Language is incorporated into the greeting, the call to worship (ancient Shema) and the songs sung in the worship center. The stories are told from all three genre - Sacred stories, Parables and Liturgical action lessons. This method of teaching is experiential and the children can work with the story materials after they have been presented. Once told, the stories remain on the shelves for the year, which provides the children with many opportunities to "work" with the stories during their response time. In this method of teaching, the children come to "own" God's stories thus producing fertile soil in which the seeds of faith will take root! | ![]() |
