Daily Reflection

It wasn't long ago that when you were not feeling well you chalked it up to being run down.  Maybe allergies were getting the best of you.  Or, it was probably a common cold and would go away in a few days.  

But now, we have the added worry that what we are experiencing might be a virus.  This virus has varying degrees of severity and is nothing to mess with.  This virus is also highly transmittable with a 14-day window from the time you carry it to the time you feel its symptoms.  Suddenly, feeling sick went from resting for a few days to getting a cotton swab stuck deep into your nasal cavity.  And then, waiting and wondering what the test will tell.  And if that will change everything.  And who might be affected.

Into that time of waiting and wondering, Jane Ellen has chosen to sing hymns.  The hymns help her to breathe.  The singing calms her fears.  Lifting songs to God keeps her in touch with the One who carries her through all of this.  

So, let us sing, together.  And pray, together.  And hope, together.  And breathe, together.  And wait, together.
